WHAT ARE SCAN ADAPTERS USED FOR?
Scan adapters lift instant film photos away from flatbed scanning glass while holding the photos in the correct position for a clean scan free of any Newton Rings—artifacts that result from two reflective objects being pressed against each other.
With a scan adapter, you get a clean scan.
Without a scan adapter, Newton Rings are visible.
